Jordyn had the biggest crush on Tyler since she first entered Hamilton County Junior High. Little did she know that one day she would end up marrying the man of her dreams! We talked about how they first met and their first date and their first kiss during their engagement session. That’s a story I am saving for their wedding blog! So you will just have to tune back in….
So Tyler left for the Air Force at the end of last summer. They have been doing the “long distance relationship” thing for awhile. Even though Tyler was gone, Jordyn had their beloved German Shepherd “Taya” to look after. I guess it’s true what they say, “Distance makes the heart grow fonder” because when Tyler came home on military leave, he proposed to Jordyn while they were duck hunting one morning. He had the whole thing planned and Jordyn never saw it coming.
Wedding planning started.. Jordyn contacted me right away and booked me to be her wedding photographer! So pumped about that! I have always wanted to capture a military wedding, and of course Tyler will be in full uniform! Tyler was due to come home in July for a visit. We planned to do engagement pictures on Saturday, July 28th while he was home. Then all they had was the short wait to their wedding in September until they could be together and stay together. Jordyn would be moving with him to the military base he was stationed at as soon as they were married.
Well, due to Tyler’s military obligations, he was not able to get home in September. So in 3 weeks, they have done some small adjustments, moved the wedding up to the day after we were supposed to do engagement pictures. And now… THEY ARE GETTING MARRIED IN THE MORNING!!!!
We did an impromptu engagement session this past Thursday and I found it fitting to share their engagement blog post as a prelude to their wedding photos! So here are some of my favorites from our session. ENJOY
