A whirlwind of emotions best describes Tyler & Jordyn’s wedding story! From the time Jordyn said “YES” to marrying Tyler, there were obstacles they would have to climb to get to this day! With Tyler being in the military, wedding planning became a struggle. All families with loved ones in the military know that you can’t just plan something on any certain timeline. Sometimes, you don’t get the time off you want! Tyler & Jordyn’s wedding was no exception, as they had set a date and had all the preparations ready for September 1st, 2018. Wedding invitations were made and ordered, venue’s were reserved, vendor’s were booked! At the beginning of July, Tyler was informed that he was not granted leave for his wedding in September. Talk about sucker punch right to the gut! However, everyone understood! Tyler was still coming home for a visit in July, and that is what mattered. Long distance relationships are super hard!
We had set the engagement session up for the end of July when Tyler was to be home on leave. Jordyn messaged me and told me that they had decided that since Tyler was not able to come home in September, they had decided to move the wedding up! They were now getting married in 3 short weeks! So with some tough planning, Tyler & Jordyn’s families kicked it into high gear and put together an ENTIRE wedding on super short notice! They all deserve medals!
Fast forward…3 weeks later, a gorgeous wedding unfolded. Emotions were high… however, a calmness was present! As Jordyn began getting ready, I learned some things about her wedding attire! Jordyn was wearing her Grandmother’s tiara. She told me that as a little girl, she remembered her grandma had a chest where she kept things from her wedding on display. She remembers being infatuated with her tiara. The sparkle really drew her in, and she used to very carefully get it out so she could admire it. She knew when Tyler proposed, that her Mamas tiara was the one of the things she wanted to wear! On Jordyn’s flowers was her mother’s broach. Jordyn’s mother is tragically no longer with us. Jordyn was given that broach at her mother’s funeral. She made sure to pin it to her flower bouquet that way her Mom still had a part to play on her big day!
Tyler was dressed in full uniform! His Air Force Blues! Very debonair! On his uniform you will notice a pin. When Tyler was in Basic Training, he earned his marksman pin. In order to get the pin, you must shoot a 22/25. Tyler shot perfect at 25/25! Good job, Tyler!
As the time came for the wedding ceremony to start, Tyler and Jordyn were filled with gratitude and love for all the people who came to support them! With such a short notice, they never dreamed that so many people would be able to make it. Family from out of town, Family from close by and friends gathered to watch them make commitments to one another. The ceremony beautifully portrayed the love that Tyler had for his bride and the joy that Jordyn had to become Tyler’s wife! Happy tears were had by many. Before we knew it, they were husband and wife! As the rest of the day flew by, I could see the happiness in their eyes. They were together and would spend the rest of their lives that way.
Tyler & Jordyn have so much gratitude to all those that made their big day happen! They have so many people who care for them and they know it! They thank-you from the bottom of their hearts for being with them on such a special occasion.
I have so many moments that I can’t wait to share with the bride & groom, but for now.. I will just share a brief overview of the day! Highlighting some precious moments! Thank-you Tyler & Jordyn for letting me part of such a special day in your lives!
